CASE STUDY: SETTING THE STANDARD FOR PEOPLE LEADERSHIP AT KPMG
SITUATION
With a national network of over 7,000 people leaders, KPMG needed to drive consistency in how leadership, performance, and people management topics were communicated internally. The goal was to align HR, Learning & Development (L&D), and broader People strategies across all offices in Australia. To achieve this, KPMG launched the People Leader Programme—a comprehensive initiative aimed at empowering people leaders with best-practice knowledge and behaviours.
TASK
77 Productions was commissioned to create a 22-part internal video series that would serve as the core learning resource for the programme. The videos needed to:
-
Clearly and engagingly communicate topics ranging from leadership principles and onboarding to performance management, inclusion, and wellbeing
-
Be suitable for a large and diverse audience across different roles and seniority levels
-
Align with KPMG’s internal culture, tone of voice, and professional branding
-
Support standardisation of HR and people operations in a scalable, digital-first way
ACTION
We collaborated closely with KPMG’s HR, L&D, and internal communications teams to:
-
Develop concise, engaging scripts across 22 complex topics, from Respect@Work to Parental Leave
-
Use a mix of studio-shot presenters, clear motion graphics, and animated scenarios to bring the content to life
-
Ensure brand alignment through KPMG’s design system and internal voice
-
Design the video structure to prioritise clarity, accessibility, and adaptability for digital learning platforms
Each video was tailored to feel informative without being corporate-heavy—built for engagement, retention, and internal impact.
RESULT
The final series delivered a powerful internal toolkit that helped unify people management practices across KPMG Australia. It supported the successful rollout of the People Leader Programme, enabling better leadership conversations, clearer HR standards, and more consistent development outcomes across the firm.
With these assets, KPMG has a sustainable, on-brand learning experience that’s accessible across all offices—and ready to evolve with future needs.
