Bringing .pdf’s to life with Code of Conduct video for the Teachers Registration Board
SITUATION
With over 38,000 registered educators across diverse communities, the Teachers Registration Board of South Australia (TRBSA) needed to effectively communicate its newly updated Code of Conduct. The goal: help teachers understand, adopt, and live out these principles—not as another compliance task, but as a point of pride. The challenge was clear: translate a nuanced policy into engaging, relatable, and memorable content that could inspire teachers and safeguard learners.
TASK
77 Productions was engaged to develop a four-part animated explainer video series, plus cut-downs, to make the TRBSA Code of Conduct accessible, digestible, and impactful. These videos would be used across PD sessions, online training, and internal comms. Our brief:

Maintain professionalism without being “legallee.”

Speak plainly, clearly, and with aspiration.

Represent the profession with respect, integrity, and responsibility.

Reach teachers across age, experience, and cultural background.
ACTION
To meet these goals, we designed a visual and narrative style that paired authority with accessibility:

Custom motion graphics in TRBSA’s brand colours (green, gold, black and white) to maintain professional tone.

Third-person voiceover using a calm, youthful female narrator to foster relatability and warmth.

Kinetic typography and iconography brought legal and ethical expectations to life without jargon or overwhelm.

Plus a 2-minute series overview and multiple cutdowns for varied learning and social formats.
RESULT
With another 5-star Google review, the result is a visually engaging, strategically structured video series that simplifies a complex Code while elevating professional identity.
